"More Blocks, More Trees, No Problem."
Following the successful 2021-22 campaign, MLSE has extended my responsibility to carry on with the Full Court Press initiative. This time, our objective is to further diminish our carbon footprint. In line with this mission, for each block made by the Raptors throughout the season, Maple Leaf Foods and the team will collaborate to plant 50 trees. Our collective aim is to plant 19,800 trees, representing one tree for every seat present in the arena. With More Blocks, we are forging ahead to make a positive environmental impact.

Let's plant one tree
for every seat in
the arena

For this season, I was tasked with producing a video series to raise awareness among our fans about the process we're making towards the Full Court Press campaign. To kick off the series, I envisioned a visual journey that would symbolize the achievement of our block goals.

The video commences with a basketball bouncing into the arena, landing in a crack on the floor. The basketball then transforms into a seed starting the growth of trees and representing every block made by the Toronto Raptors and fans this season. With each block, the arena undergoes a transformation. The trees multiply, filling the space with greenery, and the arena itself begins to evolve into a vibrant forest.

As we reached the halfway point, we surpassed our goal setting a new target of 25,000 trees. Visually the forest within the arena begins to overgrow its boundaries, Flourishing into Jurassic Park and demonstrating the remarkable progress we've made and overwhelming support from our fans.
